I tried them and then switched over to Sygic as it was easier to use and easily hooked into Wikicamps on the Tablet.

Niet zo enthousiast dus, wel voor een alternatief, Sygic (waarvan ik nooit had gehoord)

Yep, love Maps.Me.
Used it in numerous countries in Europe and USA/Canada - as well as here. Life saver after a wrong turn coming out of a pub in Rome - well, it told us we were going at 90 degrees to destination when we finally checked.
Run it in the car too as a planner or “wonder where that goes” while on the move here. It is far easier than a GPS to plot a route as you can see the map and towns on the iPad big screen
Have Sygic too but never use it.
