Dutch tourist shot in purse snatching

Phnom Penh – A Dutch woman was taken to the Calmette Hospital by her friends after being shot by a gang of armed thieves who nabbed her shoulder bag. The incident occurred in front of the Chun Reasmey (Light of the Moon) Guesthouse, located on Street 19, Chey Chomneah Commune, Daun Penh District, at 4 in the morning of the 14th of June, 2012.
The female victim of the robbery has been identified as ក្រេស្ទីនជេស៊ីណា (Christine “Jay-Cee-Na”), a 20 year old tourist from Holland, presently staying at the Royal Hotel on 154 Street, Psar Kandal 2, Daunh Penh District. She was shot in the right calf by her assailants.
