Hallo Denise,

Hello Ms. Dao,
How are you?
I first want to thank you for helping me to with questions from people who want to go to Viet Nam.
Some did book a tour with BT.
Last year I had a question to Ms. Nhi about the Son Doong Cave.
Lots of questions were, can we visit the cave?
Ms. Nhi did answer last year.
Dear Mr Ton,
Follow to the site you gave me, I just contact Vietnam Adventure and have some information for you:
(1) Tourists have not been allowed to visit Son Doong Cave till now.
(2) People such as research scientist, botanist, physical geography researchers, ect. can get the Approval letter from Local Authority to visit the cave.
(3) Vietnam Adventure (the agent you recommend me) can help you to get the Approval letter. After booking, they will apply to Local Authority, and confirm to you if your application is accepted or not.
(4) To visit Son Doong cave, clients need to have at least 03days (starting from Dong Hoi - Quang Binh). You can find the 03 day tour itinerary as on the site.
(5): Tour price is 990 USD per person, applied for private trip within 02 travelers. People who will be on the tour with clients would be: 01 travel agent staff, 02 porters, 01 forest warden, 01 of National Park Management, and Mr. Ho Khanh - a local person who first found the cave. (The company will arrange all of them to go with you)
(6): Here is the travel agent I spoke to, Mr. Kien +84 9798 00588. IF you would like more information just let me know. I’m more than happy to help, you know my knowledge now is increasing for Son Doong destination :), thanks to you.
Best regards,
Nhi
But now I was reading a Vietnamese newspaper and did read this
Trial tours of world’s largest cave to be launched
Quang Binh plans to launch experimental adventure tours of Son Doong Cave, which is considered the largest in the world, in early August this year.

Do think it is changed, and possible to visit this cave at a lower price and not so complicated?
Is Bufallo Tours also offering this tour and maybe you at what price range?
I really hope you can help me with this?
Ton.
