Elephants from Mt Kenya forest demolished two houses on Monday night in Mbiriri village, Kieni, and the occupants were lucky to escape unhurt.
A leopard which attacked and injured five people in Maragua was killed, but who killed it was not shown, and compensation was demanded from the KWS.
