I am studing Spanish in Patagonia School, the school is excellent it is in Bariloche. Bariloche is a wonderful city, now is winter, is snowing. I am living in a homestay, friendly family who gave me an inisght into their culture and made me feel like I was part of Argentinian society. My friends says: Hostel is funny homestay is boring. What do you think?
Hola Mary, I totally agree with you, staying with people is so much more fun than staying in a hostel… Well, if you are studying the language that is, because it’s very good practise. What school do you go to? La Montaña by any chance? That’s run by a friend of mine, also Dutch And Bariloche is indeed one of the most beautiful places in Argentina (but there are more, mind you). That’s why I am living there at the moment. Not in a hostel, nor homestay, I found a very nice little house to rent for the coming year(s)…
Hi, I am not studing at the mountain school, because Bariloche’s people says it is not good and the owner is not Argentinian and his Spanish is bad, if you want to learn Spanish you need an Argenitian School. I am studing in Patagonia School, owners are Argentinian, Spanish School is beautiful and really cheap:nod: but tomorrow is my last day. I’m sad. I love my homestay, friendly family who give me an into their culture and make me feel like I am part of Argentinian society. :kus:Homestay is not expensive just u$s 125 per week with breakfast and dinner. It is great!!! Where are you living now?:dag:
Haha, I can asure you that the owner doesn’t teach! He’s the owner and has a staff of professional (Argentinian) teachers…
Wow, you call U$ 125 a week not expensive? In Argentina?? My rent is $ 600 a month, in pesos that is, so less than U$ 190 including gas/electricity! And I don’t need breakfast and dinner is easy, there are 2 pizzaplaces and a parilla nearby :king:
But then again, I live here, you are just visiting of course. And as I said, homestay is a very nice option. I live near the crossing of Bustillo and the entrance to Catedral (Francisco de Biedma).
Mmm pizza…
My Spanish School is beautiful and my teacher is professional, she is licenciado en letras, but I am not sure what is it
. I had one teacher one week Who was the Mountain teacher, her name was Adriana, and she is not a good teacher and she is not professional, she was fired in her first week after all new teachers are professional, and I am happy with it.
I have two friends who went to the mountain and they said that the Mountain school is small and it is not front of the street, it’s behind the building, so, if you see the web site you can see a fake picture about the school, computers are old…but the secretary is pretty:wub:. Patagonia School is a big school with all professional teachers, excellents computers and a very very big lcd tv for Argentinien movies. I speak like a student, you speak like owner’s friend. It’s very different.
My boyfriend is Dutch too. like your friend. I think that your friend is nice because people of this country is wonderful. I am from Italy. :wereld:
I love Argentina, Bariloche is expensive, your rent is really cheap!!! How is your house?
On September, my boyfriend and his friends came to Bariloche for learn Spanish!!! CRAZY CRAZY I will be in Italy:frown:. Maybe you will know them. Are you married?
There are better and cheaper ways to learn spanish. Go travelling through Buenos Aires and Argentina, the best way to meet the people and learn about its culture and its language. You might make close friends or even find your new love, all better ways to learn.
