Hi…sorry to write in English but Im just learning dutch…Anyway, I went to Spain recently to do a spanish course in Malaga. Im thinking of doing it again and Ive noticed you Dutch people are paying much too much for these courses! For example, I booked through a guy in Germany and paid 680EUR for 4 weeks. This included course AND accommodation in a single room in a shared appartment. The school was great and everything actually was perfect. 8 weeks at the same place would cost 602EUR + 630EUR. Write me a message (private) if you want more info…
Paul
Hi Paul,
I wonder what school you went to, because this is extraordinary cheap. Sounds too good to be true. Usually these schools can’t guarantee a high quality.
Regards,
Jochem
Hi Paul…Really its true and the school was great
Im definitely going back too. I booked the course with a guy in Germany…Obviously I cant “advertise” for him on the forum here but if people want to know more they can get in touch
Oh, by the way, its not only Malaga but Granada and Seville too at similar prices. Im shocked at what people are happy to pay in Holland! ![]()
Of course I meant “Hi Jochen”,…sorry
Hi Paulus,
Do you have an internetadress for me of that school. You have made me very curious!
Thanks,
Gilgil
I also went to Malaga 1 month for 723 euros. Even with 5hrs a day. In a double room in a shared appartement. Everything was ok. Since when means a lower price less quality?? These schools with lower prices just offer their accommodation cheaper. For example the school where I went in a shared appartment a single room is 278 euros (1 month) or a double room is 187 euros (1 month). If u go to the school where for example Jochem is studying you pay for a single room 430 euros (1 month) and u can not even choose a double room if u are alone. So that makes the most difference I guess.
And ofcourse it makes a difference where the accomodation is located. My school has apartments in the centre of the city Malaga, which are obviously more expensive.
he jochem…kan je een beetje goed stappen in malaga?
Hello PaulusD,
Can you confirm that this school is the Alhambra Chain of Schools?
Regards,
piet meijers
Hey! Ja zeer zeker kan je dat! In het centrum zijn volop uitgaansgelegenheden.
PaulusD, if this is one of the Alhambra schools, then please read this message of Loesje25 (http://www.wereldwijzer.nl/showthread.php?t=22337). She has been to Sevilla and was ABSOLUTELY not satisfied with this school. The one in Malaga appears to be even worse.
Hi…again.
I can confirm this is definitely NOT an Alhambra chain school. In fact, it is not part of a chain at all. It is a small, independent, private school which might explain why everyone I spoke to about it was very happy.
The school Loes was talking about Ive actually read about before on German forums all quite negative but cant judge without being there myself I suppose.
Paul
Our four weeks course and accommodation is about 90 euros more expensive, but I think Jochem is right when he says apartments outside the centre are cheaper. If the language school itself is outside the centre, this will be cheaper as well.
If you don’t care about being in the city centre or not, this can be a good option.
But we’re all rather curious about the website or name of the school, Paul.
Martijn
This makes me laugh…Ive done a course, loved it, it was in the city centre, the price was great, Im going back, appartments 5-10miunutes from school (which as I said was in the centre)…and Ive given the email of a guy to contact…Why then all the suspicion???
Just trying to help… ![]()
It’s suspicious because you don’t want to post the link here. That is why.
Martijn…youre spamming surely? Is that allowed? I just looked up “your” 4 week Granada course and found something 179 Euros cheaper! You must be making a fortune!
For some people thats alot of cash…
Ive been in touch with the guy in Germany and he tells me his website will be ready next week. I’ll post the link then if its allowed…
Hello PaulusD,
If you could maybe give me the address of this school in Seville, I could go there and check it out to see if they´re any good.
Don´t worry, I speak Spanish fluently, so you won´t lose me as a potential “client”.
kind regards from Seville,
Fries
