Nou zoals je weet heb ik daar ook geboekt, hou me aanbevolen voor een plek met niemand voor ons, want zoals altijd en ook al kan ik 100 dagen van te voren seatselection doen zijn deze plekken te geven aan bepaalde personen gelet op lengte en ga zo maar door, maar telkens al ik in dat >>> zit zie ik vaak geen verschil, als het maar niet zo een plek is met die muur voor je :mad:
Helaas kunnen wij die stoelen (nooduitgang) vrijwel ook nooit van tevoren vastleggen, omdat deze seats ook voor ons geblokt zijn :(. Als we bellen, krijgen wij ook altijd te horen dat deze stoelen eerst voor lange mensen vastgehouden worden (1.95-2 m of langer) en voor frequent flyers. Kan me er ook wel iets bij voorstellen, want bijna iedereen wil een stoel bij de nooduitgangâŠ
En stoelen bij een muur worden vaak weer vrijgehouden voor passagiers met babyâs.
Zal morgen eens kijken voor je of ik al stoelen vast kan leggenâŠ

Authorities to cut water, electricity, phones at Ratchaprasong

Water and electricity will be cut off and food supplies blocked to red-shirt protesters camping in the Ratchaprasong area from midnight Wednesday, to pressure them to end the anti-government rally and return home, Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES) spokesman Col Sansern Kaewkamnerd said on Wednesday.
âThis is the beginning of measures to fully enforce the law,â Col Sansern said.
Telephone signals will also be cut off, and there will be no access to public transport - buses, trains and boats - from the protest encampment, he said.
He also warned that authorities were now ready to disperse the protesters if necessary, and called on them to leave the rally site.
"The army is ready, but at this moment I donât want to talk about a crackdown, as we want to use measures to put pressure on them first.
âTo the residents in the area â please leave. After midnight, authorities will not allow anyone to enter,â Col Sansern said.
Non-protesters living in the area as well as embassies would be affected by the measures, he said.
Leaders of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) responded by saying they will continue their rally despite the threats.
Co-leader Korkaew Pikulthong said the protesters have their own generators, so they would still have electricity. They would also tap into the water pipes supplying the UK and the US embassies.
Another UDD leader Weng Tojirakarn said the UDD would not disperse until Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban reports to police and enters the judicial process to answer complaints involving the fatal April 10 clashes between security forces and protesters.
"None of the red-shirts are afraid of the threat to cut water and power. We will run at soldiers with our two bare hands, even if they fire at us with assault rifles,ââ he said.
âWe just want Suthep Thaugsuban to publicly surrender to police.â
Mr Suthep, the deputy prime minister in charge of security affairs, went the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) on Tuesday morning to acknowledge a complaint filed against him by relatives of those killed and injured in the bloody clashes, but Mr Weng said the UDD did not accept this because the DSI is a part of the CRES, which is supervised by Mr Suthep.
DSI has taken over the investigation into the April 10 clashes from police.
On Tuesday night, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva warned that the demonstration could affect the Nov 14 general election date if it continues.
He also said that the government has the legitimacy to take the necessary action to restore security and normality in the country if the UDD did not end its rally today.
âIf the situation in the country does not return to normal, it will affect the election,â he said. âProtesters should return homes on May 12.â

Subway, skytrain still operating

Both the skytrain and the subway are still operating, but managements for both services said they will review operations tomorrow and cooperate with the government if asked.
The Bangkok Mass Transit System is ready to cooperate with the Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation if it is asked to stop skytrain service, BTS chairman Keeree Kanjanapas said on Wednesday.
Mr Keeree said the authoritiesâ decision to cut the electricity supply at Ratchaprasong at midnight Wednesday would not affect the skytrain service initially, because the service ends at midnight.
BTS would stop its operation on Thursday if the political situation had not improved, he said.
The decision whether to stop service or not would be for the benefit and safety of commuters and staff, he said.
BTS said on its website that service at all BTS stations remains unchanged for now-- from the morning until midnight â until further notice.
BMCL corporate director Chartchai Praditpong said services were still running. It would depend on the political situation whether the subway service would be suspended on Thursday.

Ik begrijp het niet meer.
De ene eis is nog niet ingewilligd of de andere komt er weer aan.
Wat mij bevreemdde is dat er 2000 extra Roden naar de demonstraties toe kwamen terwijl het einde inzicht was.
Als dit zo doorgaat dan vrees ik het ergste.
Ik hoop werkelijk voor alle partijen dat er geen slachtoffers meer vallen.
Volgens mij gaat het in dit forum over de situatie in Thailand/Bangkok, en niet over de positie in het vliegtuig?
Dat klopt simont, echter mag er heus wel eens even off-topic gegaan worden om een vraag te beantwoorden.
Als je alle paginaâs terugleest, zal je zien dat 99% van de in dit topic geplaatste berichten betrekking hebben op de situatie in Bangkok.
Prima Davenuman, ik vond de combinatie wat bizar daarom reageer ik! Ik ga zelf de 30ste mei naar Thailand en ben oprecht geinteresseerd in wat er daar gebeurt en niet in andere onzin!

Ik ga ook naar Thailand in oktober en sommige onderons ook die periode.
Nu dat er problemen zijn in Bangkok dat betwist ik niet,maar Bangkok is zo groot Simont.
De kans dat je wordt geconfronteerd met de red shirt betoging is nihil(het zijn maar een paar straten waar ze samentroepen)
Ik zou eerlijk gezegd je slaap niet laten,en ga gerust Bangkok bezoeken.
Over de artikelen,de ene dag zeggen ze dit,andere dag zeggen ze het anders.
Je moet alleen maar bang zijn dat ze eventueel het vliegveld bezetten,maar eerlijk gezegd zo ver zal het niet komen.
Deze betogingen zijn alleen gericht aan de huidige bewinslieden van Thailand en is niet gericht aan de toeristen.
Ikzelf ga ook dikwijls off topic,het mag af en toe wat luchtig zijn,maar we komen altijd terug to the point.
Vond je reactie ietsje overdreven,maar nu weet je het ook dat het af en toe kan gebeuren dat we wat afwijken van de topicvraag.
Voor de rest wens ik je nog een prettig verblijf in het land van de glimlach en ik weet zeker dat je Ă©Ă©nmaal terug arriveerd in Nederland,dat je vol met heimwee zit om terug tegaan.
