Dear Mr Ton,
Follow to the site you gave me, I just contact Vietnam Adventure and have some information for you:
(1) Tourists have not been allowed to visit Son Doong Cave till now.
(2) People such as research scientist, botanist, physical geography researchers, ect. can get the Approval letter from Local Authority to visit the cave.
(3) Vietnam Adventure (the agent you recommend me) can help you to get the Approval letter. After booking, they will apply to Local Authority, and confirm to you if your application is accepted or not.
(4) To visit Son Doong cave, clients need to have at least 03days (starting from Dong Hoi - Quang Binh). You can find the 03 day tour itinerary as on the site.
(5): Tour price is 990 USD per person, applied for private trip within 02 travelers. People who will be on the tour with clients would be: 01 travel agent staff, 02 porters, 01 forest warden, 01 of National Park Management, and Mr. Ho Khanh - a local person who first found the cave. (The company will arrange all of them to go with you)
(6): Here is the travel agent I spoke to, Mr. Kien +84 9798 00588. IF you would like more information just let me know. I’m more than happy to help, you know my knowledge now is increasing for Son Doong destination :), thanks to you.
Best regards,

Maar het is nu veranderd, en te bezoeken.
Dear Mr. Ton,
Sorry for your waiting about the Son Doong Cave trip.
Based on the information I have collected, here are some options for tour type and pricing as below:
1/ Easy day trip: BT can offer transportation, tour guide, entrance fee… for a general view of Phong Nha Ke Bang park and visit a very small part of the enormous Son Doong Cave (the entrance part). Price from 150USD/person (based on group of 2 people)
2/ Son Doong Discovery from 5 days to 7 days: These tours are organized by Oxalis Adventure Tours - the only company with permission to run these prestigious tours alongside the original British cave researchers as expert safety guides.
The shortest Son Doong Discovery tour of 5 Days/4 Nights includes one day of training, and one night camping in Son Doong, whilst the 7 Days/6 Nights Son Doong Exploration Tour allows guests to completely experience all major formations and sites within Son Doong as well as three nights camping at different locations in the cave.
The company currently have dates available in August but after that the area is closed for tourists due to flooding until next February, when they will resume tours to Son Doong. They require guests to have some experience trekking/caving before embarking on this active adventure. I am attaching some information for you to review on both tours.
The shortest 5 day tour costs from $2,300 per person and the 7 day tour costs from $3,000 per person. This includes Phong Nha National Park fees, all meals, transfers from Dong Hoi, cave safety equipment, caving porters, accommodation before and after the tour, camping equipment, caving experts and local guide. The tours are limited to six people per departure to conserve the unique environment.
You can have more information about the company on the website: www.oxalis.com.vn
I hope these information be useful.
