We would like to recommend Salim Senty as a professional safari guide (www.sentysafaris.com) for safaris in Kenya. At the end of July 2013 our private safari started. We were picked up form Nairobi airport at Saturday evening and spent a night in Nairobi. Sunday morning we travelled to the Masai Mara with Salim and spent three nights and days there. We have seen amazing things there. We were able to see how three cheetahs where hunting for a wildebeest, eventually how they caught the wildebeest and ripped him into pieces. For more than half an hour we have seen many wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara river and also how a male and female lion where making love. We were lucky to have seen one leopard. Besides all these animals, we saw a lot of other animals: elephants, giraffes, different kinds of antelopes, buffalos, lots of birds, hippos, crocodiles, ostriches and many more.
After the Masai Mara we went to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing day, during the night two hippos were eating grass next to our tent and trying to break the fence. The next park we visited was Lake Amboseli were we have seen the Kilimanjaro. The last park in which we had a great time was Tsavo West, this park has fantastic and different landscapes to our opinion.
The tented camps were we have stayed for six nights were perfect and Salim has arranged these camps for us. Salim has been very helpful, is always on time, is very friendly and knows a lot about the animals and the history of the parks due to his more than thirty year experience in guiding safaris. When we arrived at Nairobi airport our luggage was not there and Salim stayed in contact with the airport for the next week calling more than ten times every day. We were able to pick up my bag at Tuesday in the Masai Mara and the bag of my girlfriend on Thursday in Nairobi during our trip from Naivasha to Lake Amboseli. This would not have been possible without the help of Salim.
So if you would like to make a custom made safari in Kenya don’t hesitate to contact Salim Senty (sentysafaris@gmail.com) and also feel free to ask me anything.
