Ik ben beroofd van me portefeuille in Bangkok, nu ben ik naar de ambassade geweest en heb ik papieren mee gekregen waarmee ik morgen naar de Thaise immigratiedienst moet om terug naar Nederland te kunnen vliegen.
Dit bureau zou enkele km’s verder dan de ambassade liggen. (Cheang Watthana)
Nu zeiden ze me dat ik daar met de taxi heen moet maar dat lijkt me weer een kostelijke bedoeling. Hoe kan ik het beste geld uitsparen om er te geraken? Desnoods gedeelte met skytrain en dan overstappen naar een taxi.

Taxi’s in Bangkok zijn helemaal niet duur. Skytrain is meestal wel sneller.
Wel zorgen dat ze de meter aanzetten.
De afstand is ongeveer 25km (enkel), wat gaat me dat ongeveer kosten denk je?
Enkele reis ongeveer €6,00 thb 250 schat ik.
Chaeng Wattana ligt in het noorden van Bangkok. Taxi enkele reis zal je idd zo’n 250-300 Baht kosten (excl. tollway).
En ja, er gaan ook lokale bussen die bij Chaeng Wattana stoppen, maar alleen om een paar eurootjes te besparen, zou ik dat niet eens overwegen.
Als de meter loopt op tijd, zit je in de spits heel duur en heel lang. Zoek bij het dichtsbijzijnde metrostation een motortaxi, sneller is niet mogelijk.
Bedankt voor het advies Rob maar no way in hell dat ik daarop kruip, dan betaal ik liever nog wat meer.
Ja had ook niet gezien dat je een meisje was.

Getting to the Immigration office in Bangkok by BTS/Bus/Taxi
The Immigration Office is located quite far from the Bangkok city centre.
You can take the BTS to Mo Chit or the MRT to Chatuchak Park and then take a bus or taxi from there. There are minivans leaving from the Chatuchak Park to Chaeng Wattana. The minivan costs 25 baht and you can recognize them from the following Thai signs: ต10 “จตุจักร-ปากเกร็ด”
The taxi from Mo Chit to the Immigration Office takes about 20 minutes and costs about 100 baht. If you take a taxi from the Sukhumvit area it will be around 200 baht.
When you arrive at the Cheang Wattana street it is still quite a ride to go inside the complex. The Immigration Office is in the last building, the furthest away from the street, so make sure the taxi brings you there. If you end up at the beginning of the street you can get a motorcycle taxi for around 20 baht.
