Eind oktober gaat het nieuwe vliegveld open.Het oude gaat dan op slot en het gebied wordt herontwikkeld.Men denkt erover om een park te maken.Het nieuwe vliegveld ligt lager in hoogte.Hierdoor kunnen grotere toestellen het ook bereiken.Op het oude vliegveld was de lucht dunner en daardoor konden ze er niet komen of alleen in de nacht(als de lucht wat dikker is).
Natuurlijk zijn er geen hotels ed bij “Tababela” airport.Je gaat dus reizen,richting Quito centrum.Een taxirit zal volgens de kenners tussen de $25 en $35 zijn.Gelukkig gaan er ook bussen rijden.
Het nieuwe vliegveld ligt ten NO van de stad.De aan/afvoerwegen zijn nog niet gereed.Dit gaat nog ca.1 jaar duren.Men moet dus over bestaande wegen gaan rijden(oa brug met 2 rijbanen).Dit zal er voor zorgen dat de rit nog niet zo vlotjes verloopt.:mad:
Na een “wedstrijd” is de nieuwe naam er uit gerold.Hij blijft ongewijzigd,nml: Mariscal Sucre(net als het oude vliegveld).Nou ja meeste mensen zullen het toch over Quito airport,hebben.Oude vliegveld wordt een park en convention center.
More information about transportation to and from the new Quito airport. A company called Aeroservicios will have buses costing $8. The buses will leave the airport every 15 minutes during peak hours, and every 30 minutes at other times. They will take passengers to a terminal at the current airport. The buses will also have insurance for luggage and can accommodate up to 22 people. There will also be vans costing $12.
There will be 500 parish taxis available. Customers will not have to negotiate with the driver. Outside the new terminal will be a place where people will buy their tickets at rates that will be set depending on the distance. These prices are regulated by the Ministry of Transportation. For example, the cost from the new airport to the area around the current airport would be around $25.
There will also be local buses running between the Rio Coca terminal in Quito and the airport. Cost is $0.68.
