Wij vonden Port Douglas geen overnachting waard. De Aussies die wij spraken zeiden zelf dat voor enkele jaren Port Douglas niets was, pas vanaf het doortrekken van de weg vanuit Cairns is er wat te doen. Maar het is echt een toeristenplaats.
tip waar NIET te verblijven:
Global Port Douglas backpackers
We zouden hier officieel 4 nachten verblijven maar uiteindelijk is dat 1 nacht geworden. De barman van de ondergelegen pub checkte ons in en kon het allemaal niks schelen.
De mensen in de tv ruimte gunden ons geen blik waardig en niemand zat er op te wachten een gesprek met een ander aan te gaan.
Enige pluspunt: de badkamers zijn erg schoon & nieuw!
