The woman, Gezina Gerriffe Alida Vander Pod, was arrested in Mombasa in December last year after she allegedly attempted to purchase 300 bags of maize worth Sh 990,000 using a dud cheque from NIC bank. While testifying in the case, anti terror police officer Abubakar Abarob said the suspect used a stolen passport from a 21 year old American tourist to dupe officials.
