IBO-Nederland organizes in cooperation with Buchenwald Memorials Foundation an international workcamp in the former concentration camp Buchenwald near Weimar from August 25th until September 7th 2013. For this project IBO is looking for youngsters of age 18 until 26 as voluntary helpers. The concentration camp was built in 1937 and more than 250.000 people have been deported to Buchenwald and forced to labour for German armament industry. The number of casualties is estimated up to 56.000. They died because of the disastrous conditions in the camp, has been murdered or lost their life because of forced labour and on death marches. Volunteers help in care and conservation works, excavation and work for heritage protection.
