Ik ben dus ook aan het kijken voor een kamer of appartement ik zie heel veel

Hoi hoi,
Buitengewoon lastig te krijgen. Net zoals bij Lankanen naar NL halen moet je werkgever aldaar aantonen dat ie de werknemer perse uit buitenland moet halen omdat het lokaal niet zou kunnen. Via modellen zoals stage/uitwisseling is het iets makkelijker.
1 kamer appartementje met eigen badkamertje en gebruik van keuken is, afhankelijk van de buurt in Colombo, al snel Rs 10,000-20,000 per maand. Niet mis vergeleken met de niet al te hoge salarissen.

De stappen die je moet volgen aldus Sri Lankan Immigrations:
Foreigner intending to work in Sri Lanka should first have valid employment offer / contract from the employer in Sri Lanka
Employer should apply to the Department of Immigration for entry visa approval (view sample approval)
The Department of Immigration notify the nearest Sri Lanka Diplomatic Mission of the entry visa approval
Foreigner reports to the nearest Sri Lanka Diplomatic Mission to obtains the Entry Visa endorsed on the passport
Foreigner arrives in Sri Lanka. At the port of entry, immigration may grant entry for specified period.
Upon entering Sri Lanka, before the expiry of the visa given at the port of entry, the passport of the foreigner should be referred to the Department of Immigration for stamping employment visa on it.
Note: foreigners seeking employment must not travel to Sri Lanka with Tourist or Business visas under any circumstances. Change of visa class after arrival is not possible.
