People visiting the Wereldwijzer Reis forums travel site have rated KLM the best airline. In the 2009 Wereldwijzer Reis Awards in April, travellers picked their favourites in seven categories. KLM came in first in the Top 5 airlines at 36.8%, followed by Singapore Airlines, transavia.com, Emirates and Cathay Pacific. The Wereldwijzer Reis Awards cover seven categories, including best hotel, favourite destination and best airline.
After nomination rounds lasting two weeks, travellers could visit the Wereldwijzer Reis forums to vote for their favourites. The winners in each category are awarded free advertising space – valued at €2,000 – on the popular travel site. The Wereldwijzer Reis forums website is an interactive travel platform where fellow travellers can meet, enter into discussions and share useful tips. The website welcomes around 200,000 Dutch and Flemish visitors a month. Source: KLM
