Internship Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Internship period: 3 to 6 months

South Africa’s longest running student Music Festival is offering an awesome internship opportunity where you can learn, as a production assistant, all the aspects of organising large music, culture and sport events.
Job purpose:
To provide active support to the Production Manager and the management team during the preparation of the festival and during the festival itself.
Responsibilities:• Working closely with the Production Manager to plan and organise all aspects of the event
• Coordinate distributors and deliveries. order necessary materials
• Assist with the planning of the festival site
• Assist with festival site preparation and help to build the sites
• Working on site during the event, supporting the Production Manager, liaising with on-site construction teams, electricians, site managers and stewards throughout the festival, ensuring everything is running smoothly.
• Being ‘on hand’ during the festival to monitor the site, reporting urgent matters to the production manager and using your on site knowledge to solve problems. Prioritising is your strong point and remaining helpful and friendly is crucial.
• You may be required to carry out other duties, as are within your capabilities and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the festival.
