Oldest Kenyan women passed away

A Kikuyu woman believed to be 136 years old, born in 1881, died of complications associated with old age in Nairobi Womens’ Hospital on 13th April and was buried in Laikipia this week. Her last born child, one of three, is now 86 years old, the others having all passed away. If it could be proved, Kenya would be on the map as the home of the oldest person ever, the last one recognised being an Italian, Emma Morano, who died on 15th April aged 117.
