Mitt Romney led the way in his party, but the amount was far less than a goal set by his campaign earlier this year. Representative Michele Bachmann collected nearly as much money in two weeks as several of her rivals did in more than two months, but President Obama outpaced them all by activating a network of high-dollar donors and grassroots supporters.
