Centre for International Voluntary Service (CIVS) is a Community Development Agency based in Kenya that provides innovative and competent support to needy communities and organizations aimed at stimulating local development initiatives especially among the disadvantaged; as well as developing harmonious relations among people of different backgrounds and cultures. CIVS is involved in three program areas 1. International Voluntary Service, 2. Microfinance 3. Business Development Services.
We are currently seeking volunteers for the following projects:
Orphanages and Children homes
CIVS supports various homes around Kenya that are in need of volunteers to join their teams to work such as Social workers (i.e. Caregivers), Nurses, Manual workers, and Counselors.
Primary and Secondary schools
We are looking for qualified volunteers who can teach in a variety of subjects and who can help in activities such as organization, coordination, and participation in extracurricular activities like athletics, football, drama, music, etc.
Agricultural Projects
CIVS is looking for volunteers who are able and willing to support our agricultural projects by practical and organizational means.
Microfinance
CIVS created its own microfinance initiative which is active all over Kenya. We have a number of openings both at the office and on-site, providing volunteers with a variety of responsibilities.
Head Office
For our head office we are looking for volunteers who can support our activities. Job descriptions can include Proposal Writing and Fundraising, Project Coordination, Marketing, Business Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, ICT, and Finance.
