# Sam moving back to England

Hello everyone,

my name is Sam, grew up in the Netherlands and I’d like to move ‘back’ to England. My parents moved to the Netherlands 20 years ago, I speak Dutch but I am trying to get in the mood, so for the moment I’ll stick to English 🙂

I’d like to move back because I never really settled here, well, I did, but I feel like I am somewhere in between: part Dutch, part British. Perhaps moving to England puts my life in a different perspective and can teach me something about myself?

I suppose it’s not that hard, but moving still seems like a daunting task. I honestly don’t know where to start…

I am diabetic and have a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, no real work experience though. My English I think is decent, though it could use some work (my parents hardly ever spoke it at home).

I wonder whether someone could point me in the right direction, for instance, sites where I can find a room (in Manchester preferably) or perhaps even a job, because I’ll have to sustain myself over the coming year.

Concerning diabetes: how is health care in England? Where can you get all the necessary equipment/ insurance?
