However it has an idyllic location overlooking a secluded cove, which ensures that it is often full and bookings are essential. In fact it is so popular in summer that a ballot system applies for bookings between 15 December and 15 February. To apply for the ballot you must register with YHA Tasmania on (03) 6234 9617 before mid-September to register for accommodation the following summer.
